Patience
Patience is not always a good thing to pray for because God will surely make you wait. This week, as my husband has been working on the yard, as is his usual routine, along with his plants, I realize that it takes a lot of patience to tend to something that gives life. In his case, he takes care of the many plants we have, both inside and outside of the house. When they are complimented, I make sure that I defer to him as the sustainer of the lives of these plants and not me. I simply don’t have the patience to tend to them weekly, or check their mood daily. Yes, we have one small finicky plant that looks like it’s about to die one day and the most vibrant, joyful thing the next (see pic above).
When it comes to anything you want to accomplish, it’s important to have patience. I’m working on that with this online entrepreneur life. Something always seems to get in the way, or I plan and never stick to my plan, or I get discouraged. So, instead of praying for patience, I will pray for endless motivation. I need to refocus on my “why” daily. When I’m in the middle of fasting and praying, I get very impatient counting down the hours to the time when I’m allowed to break the fast and recently God said that He wanted me to focus on the now, in the waiting, and not on what is to come. He’s got that covered so be patient and still in the now. So, right now, I’m not supposed to focus on how many clients I will have, how much money I will make, or how many courses or books I’ll create. Instead, I’ll focus on my why - my purpose for starting Education Mosaic in the first place, and my now - creating, creating, posting, posting, and reaching the clients that I have now, and making plans to generate more revenue.
Patience is a funny attribute because it’s usually the IMpatient ones that yearn to be more patient. However, like I said at the beginning, if patience is what you seek, then you’ll truly be put to the test and that might be too much to bear! So, I repeat: I’ll pray for motivation instead and I’ll see where that takes me.
